Reviews
Things have calmed down a little here at Rowse Farm Holiday Cottages after a busy summer, with lots of lovely guests and numerous visits from family and friends. We’ve had some great reviews and our guests have visited lots of places around the Tamar Valley, Cornwall and Devon too. Rowse is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area.
Horseriding
The grandkids came down (twice!) and enjoyed horse riding lessons and trekking at the fabulous Caradon Hill Trekking up on Bodmin Moor. We were blessed with great weather and the views from the old mines around the Caradon Mining District were just stunning. Claire and her team cater for all ages and abilities and it is just a wonderful place to be.

Adventure Golf
We played Woodland Adventure Golf at the China Fleet Country Club, where guests of Rowse have membership to during their stay. Barry was delighted to achieve a hole-in-one, despite not managing during his regular trips to the 2 golf courses at nearby St Mellion ! St Mellion is now listed as the best golf course in the West of England, the 2nd best in the whole of the UK and Ireland and is one of the best 100 golf courses in the world. Right on our doorstep!

Paddleboarding and Surfing
Visits to the beach were a must to construct sandcastle forts and swim in the sea. We also learnt about the ecosystems of small compass jellyfish from the wonderful Dan at Adventure Bay Surf School, during a paddle board session.

“Give me more waves – I love it!”
September & October Availability
We still have some availability for the September and October in the cottages. It’s a great time to visit Cornwall, as it’s not as busy as the summer months but the weather is still warm. We cater for short breaks or longer stays and don’t forget – we are dog friendly here too! There are lots of things to do in Cornwall with dogs (and without, of course!). Book direct for our best rates, or get in touch for more information.
