“Lovely cottage, great location, brilliant hosts. Thank you Barry and Kirsty.”

Above all, it is the perfect place to completely unwind, relax, recharge your batteries and restore your well-being.
A warm welcome awaits our guests with some local supplies, plus the all important Cornish cream tea ingredients – when in Cornwall it’s Jam First! In each cosy cottage bedding and towels are provided. If you have any special requirements please feel free to contact us.

The cottage is well equipped and has two large double/twin bedrooms with super king sized double beds (or singles) and two shower rooms (one en-suite). Skyber, as with all our cottages is south facing, ensuring you can soak up those final rays of sunshine whilst you dine al fresco.

Beautifully presented, Kellywyk is the old cider press, which has been converted into a compact, well designed, contemporary accommodation. There is a large en-suite bedroom with a super king, or 2 single beds. This cottage has a large private outdoor space to enjoy outdoor meals and relaxing on comfy loungers.

“Our stay at Rowse Farm was amazing. We stayed in Tikkidew Cottage which is beautiful. It is like home from home with everything you need provided. The tranquility of Rowse Farm made it a lovely relaxing break. Kirsty and Barry are such a lovely couple. They made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The farm is a 15min walk from a local pub, The Weary Friar which serves lovely food. The Cottages are in a great location so it is easy to get to local beaches and attractions. I would highly recommend Rowse Farm cottages.”
“Everything about this place was wonderful – the spotless spacious cottage, the convenient location within a reasonable distance of the regional sites, the bucolic surroundings and our gracious hosts. With no hesitation, I recommend a stay at Rowse Farm Cottages.”
“Barry and Kirsty are such great hosts, kind and super helpful. Their cottage was lovely to stay in, clean and comfy and spacious. Couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough!”
“Just back from a wonderful stay at Rowse Farm. We (two couples) stayed in Skyber and absolutely love the layout with the two bedrooms and bathrooms giving you your own space as well as the spacious lounge and kitchen. The grounds are gorgeous and the cottage was spotlessly clean with lots of special touches like the cream tea. A great spot to base yourself to relax on site or explore the surrounding area, we will definitely be back. Thanks to Kirsty and Barry for being wonderful hosts.”
We stayed at Rowse Farm for a week in April 2025. Skyber is a beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean, spacious and with a very well-equipped kitchen. The location is so peaceful, whilst still being close to Plymouth, Looe and also having the option to walk into the nearby village pub for dinner. We enjoyed visits to the beach and to local National Trust properties with our cocker spaniel, and treated ourselves to a Michelin star meal at nearby Crocadon restaurant one night. Barry and Kirsty were fabulous hosts, and we came home relaxed and recharged.
Well behaved canine companions are welcomed to stay at our cottages, one dog per property. We ask that dog owners keep their four-legged friends on a lead at all times, respecting other guests and any livestock that may be in nearby surrounding fields.
There are a plethora of excellent river walks, woods, fields, vast moorland areas and dog friendly beaches in Cornwall for your happy hound to run free. Here is a link to which Cornish beaches are dog friendly and which ones have restrictions.
It’s possibly useful to know that our nearest local pub, the Weary Friar Inn at Pillaton, is 15 mins walk (0.7 miles) and very dog friendly.
We look forward to welcoming you to Rowse Farm Cottages in the near future.
Barry & Kirsty
After meeting on the “Clipper Round The World Yacht Race”, and previously spending many years living in the busy cities of London and York, we decided to move to the relaxing West Country to enjoy a better lifestyle. After much research, we bought Rowse – a 400 year old farmhouse & estate. Previous owners worked hard to restore it and it is now a beautiful home for us & our guests to enjoy.
We bought Rowse because of its secluded, peaceful location & its beautiful 40 acres of woods, pasture, streams & gardens. It is important to us that our guests enjoy their holiday, and as self catering cottage users ourselves, we make sure our 3 cottages are comfortable, clean, well equipped and most importantly fun to stay in.
We are confident that you will enjoy your stay and all that the West Country has to offer!
