“Excellent 10/10. Family break, lovely hosts and beautiful location.”
Rowse Farm is tucked away on the edge of the Tamar Valley, a National Landscape (Formerly called an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Our peaceful pocket of tranquility is surrounded by trees and fields, however we are well placed for you to explore both the moors and sea – less than 30 minutes drive away. In addition to stunning wide open spaces and fresh air there’s a huge range of things to do to keep you entertained, interesting places to explore and many great places to eat, drink and be merry.
Rowse Farm has three holiday Cottages: Tikkidew, Skyber and Kellywyk are in row with their own private, secluded space. They are perfect individually or could be booked as a group if you wish to holiday with other friends or family members.
Please contact us if you have any questions.

With a galleried bedroom, super king sized bed (or 2 singles), modern kitchen and bath/shower room, full central heating, cosy wood burner and double glazing, Tikkidew is spacious but has a sense of ‘home from home’ which proves popular with guests, receiving 5* reviews and repeat visitors.
Skyber is a superb family cottage offering excellent accommodation for 4 people (+ cot) and your dog! The cottage is well equipped and has two large double/twin bedrooms with super king sized double beds (or singles) and two shower rooms (one en-suite). Skyber, as with all our cottages is south facing, ensuring you can soak up those final rays of sunshine whilst you dine al fresco.
Kellywyk is also dog friendly so you can bring both your loved ones (!) Beautifully presented, Kellywyk is the old cider press, which has been converted into a compact, well designed, contemporary accommodation. There is a large en-suite bedroom with a super king, or 2 single beds. This cottage has a large private outdoor space to enjoy outdoor meals and relaxing on comfy loungers.

“Fantastic. Barry and Kirstie are exemplary owners.Very well equipped cottages in really tranquil surroundings.”
“It was a great stay at Barry & Kirsty’s. Very friendly hosts who are happy to give you sightseeing tips and always try to understand you, even if the English word is not exactly ready. We had Tikkidew Cottage and it had everything we needed including the dog. We felt comfortable from the first second and we would definitely book here again.”
“Very nice, very well equipped Skyber Cottage, quiet location, no traffic and perfectly designed for families. Barry & Kirsty gave us a warm welcome and are very accommodating. We had a great week, many beautiful destinations are easily accessible from there. Very good restaurant nearby.”
“Barry and Kirsty are such great hosts, kind and super helpful. Their cottage was lovely to stay in, clean and comfy and spacious. Couldn’t recommend staying here highly enough!”
It was lovely to stay in your cottage with my sister and my dog, Megan. Having direct access to your land and wood to walk Megan each day was fantastic. I appreciate that sometimes there is livestock on the land and that this is not always possible, but for our stay it worked out really well. Megan loved exploring and doing zoomies in the big fields.Your attention to detail and little touches were appreciated. The cottage was clean and beautifully presented; you thought of everything. It is a wonderful place of calm and ideal for a stress-free chill out, which was needed by both of us. As soon as you walk in, you relax! The location is perfect also, with access to Cornwall and Devon. I have stayed in many places and this is right up there among the best. I enjoyed the chats also!! I’m sure one day we will be back!

Well behaved canine companions are welcomed to stay at our cottages, one dog per property. We ask that dog owners keep their four-legged friends on a lead at all times, respecting other guests and any livestock that may be in nearby surrounding fields.
There are a plethora of excellent river walks, woods, fields, vast moorland areas and dog friendly beaches in Cornwall for your happy hound to run free. Here is a link to which Cornish beaches are dog friendly and which ones have restrictions.
It’s possibly useful to know that our nearest local pub, the Weary Friar Inn at Pillaton, is 15 mins walk (0.7 miles) and very dog friendly.
Rowse Farm Holiday Cottages, Cornwall are set in a private, 40 acre estate on the edge of the Tamar Valley National Landscape and consequently there is easy access to the many famous tourist attractions in both Cornwall and Devon. Barry & Kirsty
After meeting on the “Clipper Round The World Yacht Race”, and previously spending many years living in the busy cities of London and York, we decided to move to the relaxing West Country to enjoy a better lifestyle. After much research, we bought Rowse – a 400 year old farmhouse & estate. Previous owners worked hard to restore it and it is now a beautiful home for us & our guests to enjoy.
We bought Rowse because of its secluded, peaceful location & its beautiful 40 acres of woods, pasture, streams & gardens. It is important to us that our guests enjoy their holiday, and as self catering cottage users ourselves, we make sure our 3 cottages are comfortable, clean, well equipped and most importantly fun to stay in.
We are confident that you will enjoy your stay and all that the West Country has to offer!
