Is EV range anxiety spoiling your holiday?
Not at Rowse… We now have an onsite (level 2) charger that can be used by our guests, by request. We will need to register your car with us on arrival and book a slot for charging, as the service is shared.
We will monitor usage and ask you to settle you charging bill prior to check out. Online bank transfers or Credit card payments can be accepted. Full terms and conditions can be found on our Electrical Vehicle Charging Terms and Conditions page.

Dedicated Charging Point (DCP) for Electric Vehicles (EVs) – Charging process
Preparation
You are welcome to use our onsite, DCP charger, subject to our terms and conditions and a charge for the amount of electricity used. To use the DCP, you will need to;
- Flag your interest in onsite EV charging via the tick box on the booking form.
- So we can register your car on the charging system, you will need to provide the following information; make, model, battery size or specification (AWD, Twin motor) of your car and confirmation of your Email address, which we will request from you at check-in.
- By registering your car you are confirming that you have read and agree to our Electrical Vehicle Charging Terms and Conditions (available on the website or by request).
- Book an overnight (22:00 – 08:00) or day slot (11:00 – 16:00) by emailing a request to cottages@rowsefarm.co.uk. Your booking will be confirmed, or an alternative slot will be offered by reply.
Charging
- Prior to the start of your charging slot, connect your car to the charger with the tethered Type 2 charging cable. Care must be taken not to stretch, twist or kink the charging cable.
- Once connected, the system will notify us that the charging session needs to be approved. Once approved and if everything is synchronised correctly between the system and car, charging will commence and you should be able to monitor via your car’s app. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that a charging session is successful but will do everything we can to resolve any connection/charger issues promptly.
- By default, the car battery will be charged to 90% target of capacity as recommended, to maintain battery performance. You can request 100% charge, as with all charging targets, this cannot be guaranteed (dependant on battery size, charging speeds and load balancing from the charger).
Billing
- The charging system will monitor the kWh used and this will be used to calculate the cost of the charge.
- By request, a statement can be provided after each charging session via Email.
- Prior to checkout, a charging statement will be issued, requesting instant payment. This can be done via an online bank transfer or credit card payment. All payments must be cleared prior to departure.
