This weekend, the Lynher Valley was filled with music from Tunes in the Park at Port Eliot. Despite windy weather on Friday and Saturday, festival-goers enjoyed a weekend of live performances in the scenic setting of Port Eliot. The sounds reached us here at Rowse, although we couldn’t hear the tunes really clearly! Did you know that Port Eliot is the filming location for Martha’s café in the BBC’s Beyond Paradise? Visitors can tour the Grade 1 listed house and enjoy the beautiful gardens, then finish off with a cup of tea and a scone (jam first!) in the café there.
In unseasonal August Bank Holiday weather, with the wind causing some challenges, the festival vibe stayed strong. For those nearby, a quick stop at Paul Bray’s Butchers in Tideford was perfect for picking up local produce on the way to the event.
Tunes in the Park offered a mix of music styles, keeping the crowd entertained throughout the weekend. Despite the weather, the festival was a success, leaving lasting memories in the Lynher Valley.
